Chapter Nine.

Dana

Even though the moon was high when we hit the cabin, I could tell it was an incredibly pretty spot. Surrounded by trees and a glimmer of moonlight on the water a short distance away, I was falling in love with it. It was a single-storey cabin, quite large, with a front porch and wooden railings. The entire place was built out of logs and my idea of a dream getaway.

“Come on, let’s go inside,” Ezra said as he rounded the SUV and helped me out.

“What about the groceries?” I asked, knowing we had frozen and chilled items.

“They’ll be good, although we’ll need to get yours out asap. We can spare a few moments to have a look.” Ezra wrapped an arm around my waist and guided me up the four steps.

Then he pulled a key from a pocket and let me in first, and I gaped.

Damn, this was wonderful. The door opened into a large living area with two huge leather sofas that surrounded an open log fire. Blankets were folded neatly on the back of them, and a wooden coffee table sat between them. Off to the far left was a large dining table separating us from the kitchen, which looked fully equipped.

Another door opened into a hallway, revealing three sizable bedrooms and a luxurious bathroom.

“Thank God we ain’t roughing it,” Ezra said as we exited the hallway and back into the living area.

“You were worried?”

“Yup. Those Delta Force guys are hard core. Shit, I wouldn’t have been surprised to find a tin bath and a bucket to piss in,” Ezra replied, making me laugh.

“Well, that bath looks wonderful and can accommodate two,” I teased with a saucy wink.

Heat flared in Ezra’s eyes and then he shook his head and tapped a finger to the tip of my nose.

“Oh no, got the SUV to unload, and then I need to set the security systems up,” Ezra stated.

Pacified, I nodded an agreement and allowed Ezra to bring the groceries in while I put everything away. My initial impression of the kitchen was accurate. It had everything one could desire and more. After packing the food away and bringing in the suitcases, Ezra and I curled up on one of the sofas.

“Babe, I put your case in the main room.”

“Where are you staying?” I asked.

“Next door.”

“Oh.”

“Everything we do is on your terms, babe. Dana, I didn’t want to make assumptions and rush you into anything.”

Frustrated, I twisted on his lap and cupped Ezra’s face. “But I want to share a bed.”

“Dana, keeping my hands off you will be torture.” Ezra groaned.

“Who said I asked you to?”

“We’re only going to make love if you are one hundred per cent in with me. Do you accept you’re mine?” Ezra questioned intently.

“Yes,” I answered without hesitation.

My feelings had been growing for Ezra on a daily basis, and while I knew a lot of bikers slept around, Rage was different. Rage found their women, knocked them up, and settled down happily for a life of chaos.
